Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, XXI Winter Olympic Games

Yesterday took place in Ancient Olympia the ceremony of the lighting of the Olympic Flame for the XXI Winetr Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. The countdown began.

Vancouver Olympic Winter Games just finished yesterday.
Last final was the big match of ice hockey where Canada beat USA 3-2 in extra time.

In medal table, Canada did the absolute record as host, winning 14 golds, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals. Second place for Germany with 10,13,7 and third USA with 9,15,13 respectively. Fourth Norway, then Korea, Switzerland, China and Sweden.

Russia, the next host, disappointed with only 3 golds, 5 silver and 7 bronze and for the first time without gold in figure skating!

As for Italy, 1 gold in slalom, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
Best place for Greece, 33 in men's slalom.

XXII Olympic Winter Games will be celebrated in Sochi 2014.
